Espresso is a concentrated coffee beverage brewed by forcing very hot (but not boiling) water under high pressure through coffee that has been ground to a consistency between extremely fine and powder.
Filter coffee isn’t ground as fine, and it’s forced through the beans with high pressure, therefore it’s not as strong.
As far as I know, real Cappuccino is only made with espresso, but there are “mock cappuccino” recipes out there, such as the one below.

YOU COULD DO CAPPUCINO WITH FILTER COFFEE AS THAT IS HOW I HAVE IT AS I DONT LIKE EXPRESSO COFFEE
