Question by brody: how do you make a cappuccino in a salton cappuccino maker?
i just recently bought a salton cappuccino maker and dont know how to make one and since I bought it at a garage sale I did not get the instructions please help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Directions for Making Espresso Coffee Guide for photo at right 1.) Cap for Steam boiler 2.) Steam valve 3.) Portafilter (coffee holder) 4.) Steam Wand 5.) Espresso coffee carafe 6.) Power Switch Step 1: a) Make sure switch is in OFF position. b) Remove water reservoir cap. c) Fill carafe with two to four cups of cold water using the markings on the carafe for reference. Pour into water reservoir. d) Important: When making cappuccino, add extra water to steam level shown on the carafe for two cups and to the bottom of the metal band for four cups. e) Close cap tightly. DO NOT OPEN RESERVOIR CAP DURING THE BREWING PROCESS. SCALDING MAY OCCUR IF THE CAP IS REMOVED DURING THE BREWING CYCLE.

Question by Christy M: I just got the Westbend 3 in 1 coffee machine, what type and kind of cappuccino/espresso does it take?
My husband and I just received the Westbend 3 in 1 coffee/espresso/cappuccino machine for our wedding, and we both love cappuccino, but there are so many different things out there for different machines, we aren’t sure which to get to use with our machine. We read the instructions, and that doesn’t say anything- we’ve checked out the pods, and regular espresso beans ground up, but doesn’t seem to work. Please help! We don’t want to keep buying different things if they don’t work!

It’s not just the coffee beans themselves, but also the “grind”.
Espresso grind is very fine.

Question by christine C: Is it bad to drink one cappuccino a day?
I drink one cappuccino a day if that, not everyday do i do this but most days i do and my mom is getting on my case about how its going to catch up to me one day because they are so fattening, is this true? They are sooo addicting!

If you have already finished growing, its not as bad. If you are a kid, don’t drink them, you will stay short. And they are fattening if they have whipped cream and other things that they don’t need (sugar, honey, other stuff).

Wayne’s Coffee Cappuccino


Trying out coffee shops in the area, now that I drink coffee. Wayne’s has one size only for the cappuccino, and they sprinkle sweetened cocoa on it. Wasn’t bad, but I wasn’t exepcting it, since I don’t sugar my coffee.

The Classic Cappuccino

The caramel-colored blend of espresso and steamed milk. The light, textured froth of milk-foam. Whether it’s served up as morning ritual or after-dinner treat the cappuccino is instantly recognizable.

Ingredients

* espresso coffee beans
* 2 ounces milk
* 8 oz mug

Instructions

1. Finely grind the coffee beans.
2. Steam and froth milk, increasing volume by one-third — do not overheat.
3. Fill a double-sized portafilter with ground coffee, tamp the coffee, place it in the machine, and turn handle until snug.
4. Pull a single shot into pre-warmed glasses or mug. If not pulling directly into a mug, pour the shot (or two half-shots) into mug.
5. Texture the milk by gently moving the frothing pitcher in a circular motion and tapping on a kitchen surface until it’s slightly shiny and all large bubbles are gone.
6. Fill mug with textured milk.

Question by Andrew F: How do you make a real cappuccino?
I know how to properly make micro-foam but I’m not sure if a cappuccino is supposed to have foam on the top of it. Some books i have read say it does but I have seen a video of an Italian barista shake the frothing pitcher (like you would at the end of a latte to make art) the entire time he’s pouring and it seems to infuse foam in the espresso. Can anyone give me any advice?

a proper cappuccino is 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk, 1/3 foam.

BLENDER CAPPUCCINO

Prepare 1 1/3 cups espresso or very strong coffee. Meanwhile, microwave 1 1/3 cups low fat (1%) milk in 2-cup microwave-proof glass measure 3 to 4 minutes, until boiling. Transfer milk to blender and blend at high speed 1 minute or until very frothy. Pour coffee into 4 cups, add milk and sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired. Makes 4 servings
