Qυеѕtіοn bу Bob: espresso machines fοr lattes?
I рlаn tο bυу аn espresso machine tο mаkе lattes/cappucinos.. (I don’t рlаn tο mаkе single shots οf espresso fοr direct consumption)… Iѕ using a steam-driven espresso machine ok fοr thіѕ purpose, ѕіnсе lattes аrе mostly milk anyway.

yes, but the inexpensive machines will not give you the volume of steam required to make good coffee shop quality ones . ILLY brand coffee(illy.com) is running a great special now a high quality machine with sign up for coffee service its worth checking out to get a$700.00 machine for $250.00 . i’m happy i did. happy lattes!

We got a DeLonghi Magnifica 3300 for Christmas and it’s FABULOUS!! It has a water and coffee bean reservoir, so you just push a button:) It grinds beans fresh for each cup… and there’s a foamer/steamer on the side ….. WONDERFUL!

I think that the steam espresso machine should be fine for your needs. You may also consider getting Mukka Express – that’s a cappuccino maker that makes really nice latte and cappuccino. You can get either a stovetop version (cheaper) or the electric version (more convenient to use). You can find some videos about how the Mukka Express works on youtube.

Have a look at the links below if you want to read more about cheap alternatives to pump espresso machines.
