Yah, the Ms. Silvia absolutely requires extra fine grind. Doser is irrelevant. I pile mine into a stainless bowl underneath and use the 7 ml scoop thing – one or two for duplio.
Thanks for the video. Could you please advise me as to whether I should get the one without the doser or the one with the doser. Seems the one without would have less residue left in the machine….?
Hi. Thanks for the video. Im not sure that expensive espresso machines “require” extra finely ground coffee. The grind required for the perfect shot depends on the beans you use, the pressure and technique of the tamp and the pressure you use in your machine, I think – it has nothing to do with how much your espresso machine costs, which is what you seem to be implying.
Hi Mark – you don’t need a doser – but you DO need a burr grinder that costs a lot if you get an expensive machine. HTH!
