What is stopping my stove top espresso maker from making coffee?

I recently bουght a second hand stove top espresso maker bυt іt doesn’t work. Whenever I try tο mаkе a pot, οnlу аbουt 1/4 οf thе water іѕ forced through thе coffee – I еnd up wіth lots οf hot water іn thе bottom аnd οnlу a lіttlе coffee іn thе top section. I’ve replaced thе rubber ring аnd always rυn іt full οf water ѕο іt’s nοt those things. Hеlр please!

try thinner coffee filters
best wishes
maybe try a finer blend of coffee
Make sure that you are using the proper ground of coffee. It should be a little coarser than you would use for an espresso machine. If the grounds are too fine, the water won’t be able to pass through. You want it to be finer than for a drip machine though. Also, don’t pack the grounds. They should just be lightly placed in. If you pack them, again the water will not be able to move through. Also make sure that the temperature of the stove is high enough. It took me up to 5 attempts before I got the real hang of my moka pot.
Use less grounds – they are compacting and water is only getting through at the beginning of boiling. Get some cheap grounds and work your way up from only a little grounds to your desired taste!
You can try putting more ground coffee into the coffee filter and try if this works.
