Question by Richard Hierweg: Brew tea in espresso machine?
I want to try putting dried green tea leaves into espresso machine (same volume as with coffee). do you think this would work? And is there a possibility that this will break my machine somehow?

I don’t think it would break your machine. However this isn’t a good way to make tea. You can do it as an experiment but people have been brewing tea for thousands of years so I would say pouring boiling water over the tea leaves and letting them steep for a couple of minutes is still the best method.

Question by zantaff: How many milligrams of Caffeine are in an espresso bean?
I’m trying to compare Rockstar Energy Gum to a pack of chocolate covered espresso beans, to see which gives more caffeine per unit/serving.
Just so you know, the energy gum has 80mg per serving (2 pieces).
So if anyone has any info, please share!

“About 3.4 mg of caffeine per bean.

If you rationalize that a cup of coffee has approx. 120 mg of caffeine. It takes approx 35 ground beans to brew only one cup. Divide the two and you can figure that each bean is almost 4 mg.” – Casey

Question by rushingdl: Does anyone know where to find parts for this espresso machine?
I found this cool espresso machine that looks kind of like the stove top machines, but it is electric. It says Caffe Espresso by Benjamin & Medwin on it. It’s missing the coffee guts parts, but I can’t find anywhere that carries it (so it is probably out of production).

Question by Mom G: How do you decalcify an espresso machine?
I have a simple Krups pump espresso machine. I know it needs a decalcifier, and I have found a few cleaning solutions on amazon.com, but what do I do once I get it?

I plan to purchase this one: Durgol 0296 Express Multipurpose Decalcifier

Question by denisebambauer: How does one steam milk using a Salton espresso machine (Three For All)?
My mom just gave me an old Salton “Three For All” espresso machine, and I don’t know how to use the steamer! I don’t even know how that side of the machine works at all (… and I used to be a barista at Starbucks). Can somebody help?
